Easter Story Cards

The Easter story cards give a simple, visual, chronological account of the Easter story as it happened during Holy Week, beginning on Palm Sunday and ending on Easter Sunday. On the front, you'll find a watercolor painting depicting an element of what happened on that day in history. On the back, you'll find an Easter reading plan from the Bible as well as a short, scripted recap about what you just read.
Here are a few ideas of how your family can use these cards:
- Use the cards to guide your family devotion time during Holy Week. Choose the same time each day to talk about that day's story card, such as morning, meal time, or bedtime.
- Create an Easter display that builds over Holy Week by adding a card each day. Create a garland of cards using string and clothespins, or tape the cards on a door or window.
- Prepare a special meal or dessert to celebrate Easter, and use the cards to review the events from Holy Week.
- Play a hide and seek game. Hide the cards around the house in places your kids will find them, then help them arrange the cards in the correct order and talk about the Easter story together.
The Easter story is not an easy one to explain to our children, but one that is vital to our faith. I pray that these cards will help you to impress these deep truths on your children's hearts, and help to open their eyes to the gospel!
This was our first year doing an Easter advent and these cards were a perfect addition!!
The cards were perfect for a daily reflection time during Holy Week with my family. I am so thankful for a visual aide to convey the resurrection story to my child.
I was looking for a simple, beautiful, yet truthful resource to use with my kiddos (ages 3 & 11) to reflect on during Holy Week leading up to Easter. I found this resource online and loved the visuals demonstrating significant events that occurred during Holy Week leading up to Easter. When I received the cards, my 11-year-old and I enjoyed reading the passages together while my 3-year-old did his best listening but truly enjoyed seeing and discussing the pictures with us while he also got to hang up each card every day. At the end of the week, we had a beautiful Easter banner hung up in a family room and quality time well spent reflecting on the story of Jesus's death and resurrection. I highly recommend this resource to others! :)
Images are beautiful and writing is a nice quick explanation of the days to the point. Good for kids. I wish there was a Spanish version :)
These beautifully illustrated Easter Story cards helped prepare my heart for Easter. Everyday, during passion week, one card was displayed, talked about, and prayed through. My children eagerly looked forward to the coming days as well as being able to recount what happened in prior days with the picture prompt. The scripture and explanations are clear, pointing to the meaning of the text not “what can I find for myself” mentality. A trusted and reliable product!
